NAF Laminaze 5 Star Powder is specially formulated to maintain hoof health and improve the diet and lifestyle of horses and ponies that are prone to laminitis. The fight against laminitis requires the correct feed and disciplined management, however, when this is not enough feeding NAF Laminaze with its gut support and targeted nutrients can be a great help.

Research surrounding laminitis increasingly refers to the term 'Insulin Resistant' (IR) which is shown in many laminitics through a cresty neck or fat pads around the tail. It is suggested that good farriery, exercise and the right diet will be the key to success. NAF Laminaze Powder contains all the key nutrients for dietary support of the IR horse or pony and should be fed throughout the risk period as part of a high fibre, low concentrate diet. Naturally sourced antioxidants are present within Laminaze to flush out the build up of excess toxins from around the laminae, whilst bio-available sulphur in the form of MSM is added to support healthy hoof growth and strong sulphur bonds within the laminae.

Research has also shown that a metabolic episode, seen through discomfort in the feet, is likely to be triggered by gut disruption. Supplementing your horse with prebiotics (FOS & MOS) and live probiotics that are contained with NAF LAminaze will promote a stable, healthy gut environment. This NAF laminitis supplement also contains bio-available magnesium to help where excess fat is present in the body. When formulating a diet for your laminitis prone horse or pony care should be taken to particularly avoid non-structural carbohydrates (NSC) such as those found in lush, fresh grass and sweet concentrate feed.

For best results when feeding NAF Laminaze to horses or ponies with a history of laminitus use prior to the growth of spring grass and feed all year round if necessary. Preferably add NAF Laminaze 5 Star Powder to the last evening feed as better absorption is achieved whilst the horse is resting.

  • UK Saturday Delivery is £11.50 (order must be placed before 3pm on Friday)
  • UK Sunday Delivery is £11.50 (order must be placed before 3pm on Friday)
  • UK Non-Mainland Delivery is £3.95 under £50 or £8.50 over £50
  • Smaller items are posted Tracked 48 with Royal Mail and usually take 1-4 days from point of order to arrive
  • Large, heavy or multiple items are delivered by DPD (signature required)

UK Next Day Delivery

  • A next day delivery service is available to the majority of mainland UK at a cost of £7.95. Orders must be placed before 3pm to qualify for Next Day delivery. Orders placed after 3pm on next day delivery will be dispatched the following day on a Next Day delivery service.
  • Saturday and Sunday delivery are £11.50 and available to most UK Mainland postcodes (excludes Highlands). Orders must be placed by 3pm on Friday, please note our courier cannot collect on a Saturday so Sunday orders must also be placed by 3pm on Friday.
  • Postcodes ineligible for Next Day/Saturday Delivery – All Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, AB31-56, F17-21, G83, GY9, HS1-9, IM, IV, KA27-28, KW0-17, PA20-78, PH15-99, TR21-25, ZE.

International Orders

  • Standard Europe delivery is £9.50

Returns Policy

  • You have 28 days to return a non-sale item to us; items must be in their original packaging, unworn and not damaged. A full refund or exchange will be given.
  • You have 14 days to return a sale item to us for a full refund; items must be in their original packaging, unworn and not damaged. A full refund or exchange will be given.
  • We offer an extended period of returns at Christmas for goods purchased as Christmas presents. Last return date for Christmas presents is January 14th.
  • You must make your own arrangements to return goods to us and all postage costs are to be covered by you unless the goods are deemed faulty

  • You have 28 days to return a non-sale item to us; items must be in their original packaging (all tags attached), unworn and not damaged. A full refund or exchange will be given.
  • You have 14 days to return a sale item to us for a full refund; you then have a further 7 days in which you can return the item but no refund can be given - you will be offered either an exchange or credit note (valid for 12 months).
  • If an item is faulty on arrival you have 14 days in which to contact us for a full refund or exchange. If an item is faulty you will be sent a postage label to return the item to us at no expense to yourself. Please contact us to advise of the fault and request a postage label. We regret we cannot reimburse your postage costs if you choose not to use a pre-paid label. Items deemed faulty after this period will be dealt with on a case by case basis in consultation with manufacturers.
  • If a parcel looks damaged on arrival do not sign for it; instead refuse the parcel as damaged during posting.
  • We offer an extended period of returns at Christmas for goods purchased as Christmas presents.

You must make your own arrangements to return goods to us and all postage costs are to be covered by you unless the goods are deemed faulty. We recommend that you obtain proof of postage as Horse Direct cannot be held responsible for any items lost during transit back to us.
